Unusual videos of bikes in the Netherlands
1954: Bike propelled by wind-up mechanism. 1 km of riding supposedly stores enough energy to push the bike for 4 km without pedalling. That's a lot of energy stored in a coiled up bit of metal. I wouldn't want to be near the spring mechanism if it broke.
1956: Going to school by unicycle - something which still happens in the Netherlands.
1958: Removal of incorrectly parked bikes in Amsterdam (note view of double decker cycle parking already in the city). Providing enough cycle parking is still a great problem which has to be dealt with.
